One day Workshop on Administrative Training Programme on application of GST and Income Tax was conducted to the staff members of Finance, Planning & Development branches, the sections of SDE Establishment and Examination Store under the banner of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Kannur University. The objective of the Workshop was to give clarification on the matter of intricacies of the deduction and return filing of GST and Income Tax to any tax bearing components.
The Workshop was conducted at 10.30 am to 4.30 pm on 18 th October, 2019 at Cherussery Auditorium, Kannur University Campus.

The Sessions of the programme were as follows:-

Morning Session:-
1. GST - Act, Rules, Computation, Amendment details, filing method, uploading accounts.
2. GST - List of items to be taxed, Implications of the payment of advance tax, Fine/Penalty on the delayed filing. Rate of Taxes on the different components. Reverse Tax Payment mechanism, Refund of Tax, Clauses in the Amendmend Act.

Afternoon Session:- 1. Income Tax - Computation of Tax on the payment to Contractors, Service providers, work orders.
